Each of the AWI branches identified by this project has been given its own page, on which you will find dates for inception and closure, where available. Please note that, given the nature of the historical sources, there are often several possibilities for inception dates. Minutes and charter information can be different from one another and different again from information in rural and AWI histories. There is no one central source for this information. Where there is a discrepancy, we have provided the source for the dates we are using.

Each of the branch pages is linked to a map of Alberta and may also contain an outline of significant facts about the branch, stories about its activities, photos, and copies of (or information about where to find) branch minutes, scrapbooks, etc. These branch pages do not attempt to provide a complete history of any given branch. Anyone interested in a more complete historical account will need to consult the primary resources listed.

If you have information that could correct any individual Branch Page, please contact Dr. Evelyn Ellerman at this email: evelynellerman@gmail.com
